That's an exciting and generative framework! Some of those elements you and your colleagues successfully integrated into the ACRL Framework, but as you say there's much more that could be done.

Thanks, Michael. I have always thought the Framework created opportunities for generative inquiry around several big ideas, with their accompanying practices, that could be recombined in various ways depending on creativity of those using it. When I look back at the Shapiro & Hughes article, it very much anticipated what we attempted with the Framework, though maybe in a more IT-oriented way, but also seeing how information sources, information production, occurs as part of an ecosystem, and that new habits of seeing that ecosystem and thinking about it are more productive than teaching only "sources" or only "skills." There's much more to be done now with epistemic issues in general relating to trust, expertise, community, scholarly inquiry, and broader citizenship responsibilities. I think what I wanted to suggest here most of all was the idea of "integrative inquiry".
